I truly think people overreact to Momo's outfit design. Like, if she was a stick-thin, short little troll, nobody would think "Omg she's a minor her outfit is inappropriate!" But because she's full-figured, it becomes an issue. 15 year olds wear bikinis at the beach all the time, but a little visible chest sends people into a screaming fit? It comes off more like a reaction to her chest size than the outfit itself. People wouldn't be losing their minds if she was flatchested. It's just ridiculous. If you see her outfit and think "That's way too sexy, uncomfortably sexy, unrealistically and weirdly overly and dangerously sexy", then you're probably the problem lol

I wasn't sure how I was gonna land on this video, but I'm pretty much with you. There's all kinds of different writers, animators, and characters... and unless it's part of their character, it really shouldn't matter... as long as it's generally respectful to the source material. The one HUGE turn straight off a cliff that I will say (despite admittedly frankly loving the character overall) was CW's version of James "Jimmy" Olsen being over 6 feet tall, and frankly... tough as nails. I loved that character, and the whole Guardian arc... but like... that was so different from the source it was unrecognizable... and I think there were other motivations behind the casting. Yet again, 100% dig the character, but I think they could have had Jimmy semi-closer to the source material, and had everything else 100% the same with that character, and I'd have just enjoyed it that much more. I do low-key think there has been a bit of a targeting of redheads in the media (but then I'm a bit biased toward liking red hair), but I can live with the alternate universe idea. I've been doing that for years so that I can still watch TV. Anyways, good points all around. I dig it. Stay awesome!

I will be honest with you these redesigns were trash, first of all you fucked up the proportions of Gaara, second Gaara has that hair cut cuz man was trying to imitate what being a good father figure would mean since his son is adopted and he never understood how to become a good father so he is trying to imitate that feel so yeah that hair cut technically makes narrative sense. Momo's dressing can't be made into sense like Mirio's cuz the moment she makes something out of her cells they immediately change in atomic nature in short the objects will be stuck in between the clothes and her body, Mirio's quirk can still work cuz his suit is skin tight and has special properties similar to his quirk itself. Hunter Hunter designs are bad in general so I don't really wanna say anything about them.

How some of you would call a fully developed 16 or 17 year old female or male a little kid and not what they are which are young adults is beyond me, my only explanation for such a thing is cultural differences. Momo Yaoyorozu is currently 16 in the series btw, so yeah she's a young adult and is open to adult fan service like many other attractive fictional female characters across japanese media.

For Gon, his og design has those large boots to emphasize his size, whereas the short emphasizes his age and childish persona. It might be too green, yeah, but it's quite memorable. It makes me remember the character designs in Digimon. While Gon's redesign is cool, I feel like they're a bit too serious for him.
